Eligibility Criteria
Admission requirements to any of our degree programs are in accordance with the general regulations of the School of Graduate Studies. Applicants in all programs are expected to have a minimum academic standing of A- in the final two years of study. Please note that meeting the minimum academic requirements does NOT guarantee admission due to the competitive nature of our programs.
Candidates for the Ph.D. degree are normally admitted through the Master’s of Applied Science program at the University of Toronto with the possibility of a transfer into the Ph.D. program within 14 months from the date of first registration. However, direct admission into the Ph.D. program may be considered in exceptional cases where candidates have demonstrated superior ability to undertake advance research work.
