Eligibility Criteria
OSSD or equivalent (GED, College & Career Preparation) including:
Grade 12 English: year 4, general (70% guideline) or advanced, C or U
Grades used for selection. Additional information optional. Volunteer experience in child care advised.
Mature applicants will be considered on an individual basis.
Accepted applicants are required to provide an up-to-date immunization record and to complete a standard first aid certification.
A 15% bonus is given to applicants with advanced level, OAC, or post-secondary credits and new curriculum credits at the C, M or U level.
A criminal reference check may be required by field placement centres. It is the student’s responsibility to obtain this documentation and pay for costs.
