Eligibility Criteria
The minimum course requirement for the Ph.D. is four one-term courses beyond the Master’s degree and acceptable to the department. All candidates are required to pass the comprehensive exam consisting of two written exams testing breadth of knowledge, and one oral exam testing depth of knowledge in the proposed field of study.
