All students entering Business Administration programs are expected to be computer literate. This means knowing how to run programs from a Windows environment, and having basic Internet, word processing and spreadsheet skills. Therefore, students must obtain a passing grade on the Computer Skills Placement Test (CSPT) before enrollment in BUS 160, or must register in CIS 100 in their first semester.
Students registering in CMNS 125 must have a CPT score of 48 or better, or completion of CMNS 099 with at least a ‘C+’ grade, or ENGL 101 with at least a ‘C’ grade, or ENGL 081 or 091 with at least ‘C+’ grades. Students who wish to write the CPT should contact the Admissions and Records Office at (604) 854-4503 for the Abbotsford Campus or (604) 795-2802 for the Chilliwack Campus.
This program gives priority admission to applicants with higher academic standing. Complete details are on page 16 of the UCFV Calendar and within UCFV’s INSTITUTE ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS section of OPENING DOORS. Qualifying students must submit a letter in April requesting priority admission.
